  • Mt Stuart Elementary, Ellensburg High School and Morgan Middle School WDFW "Salmon in the Classrom" projects.  Students
    raise salmon from eggs to fry while learning about life cycles, habitat and more, before releasing them into suitable habitat..

Conservation:
  • Partner with KEEN to plant and care for Ponderosa Pines at Helen McCabe State Park
  • RMEF Habitat Partner helping bring 65,000+ acres in of private land into public ownership in Kittitas County
  • Annual wildlife winter feeding programs
  • Big Game Management Roundtable efforts to resolve human-elk conflicts
  • Canal Rescue Project installing escape ramps for wildlife trapped in concrete irrigation canals
  • Planted willows in the Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area to restore habitat for fish, birds, big game, and other wildlife
  • Restore riparian areas damaged by cattle
  • Release pheasants and chukars to support local bird populations
  • Donated $1,500 to help  Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation protect over 700 acres of land adjacent to LT Murray Wildlife Area
  • Leased 22 acres, and cultivated 5 with feed, to provide habitat and winter feed for pheasants
  • Partnered with Cascade Land Conservancy and other agencies to acquire properties in the Yakima River Canyon for public use

  • Promoted angling with free instruction, bait and loaner gear during WDFW's Free Fishing Weekend (at Fio Rito Lakes)
  • Support 4H On Target Shooting and Archery Club

  • Litter clean up to improve recreation sites
  • Donated $2,000 to help WDFW purchase Fio Rito Lakes for public fishing
  • Annual Durr Road/LT Murray litter clean up removes tons of garbage
  • Protect hunting and fishing heritage through membership in "Washingtonians for Wildlife Conservation" organization
  • Joined Worley Bugger Fly Shop in cleaning up Big Horn access area in Yakima River Canyon and worked to reopen the site to
    the public after extensive littering prompted the owner to close it
  • "Go Play Outside" programs ecouraging youth to learn about and enjoy the outdoors
  • Worked to ensure WDFW acquired Mattoon Lake for public Fishing
  • Represent sportsmen and women at State Fish & Wildlife Commission meetings and provide input regarding hunting and fishing
    regulations, and land and game management
  • Publish the Users' Recreational Map of the Yakima River to help anglers and rafters plan their outings
  • Joined Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway Initiative committee to enhance recreation in the canyon
