In 2008 we: - Taught safe firearm handling and ethical hunting techniquest in Hunter Education classes - Hosted Durr Road Clean Up which removed nearly 2 tons of trash from the LT Murray - Represented sportsmen and women at Fish & Wildlife Commission Meeting - Conducted Eyes In The Woods CORT classes - Local pond litter patrols - Sponsored Central WA Sportsmen's Show Photo Contest - Support BGMR efforts to solve human-elk conflicts - Supported Worley-Bugger Fly Co Yakima River Clean Up - Distributed 12,240 pounds of wheat for our Winter Feed Program - Organizing free angling lessons on Free Fishing Weekend - Planning, with state and county orgs, to eradicate Eurasion Watermilfoil from Mattoon, Fio Rito, and Lavender Lakes - Awarded our Life Member Scholarship , the 32nd - Organizing chukar releases for the 22nd year of our Gamebird Program - Joined local organizations and volunteers at Earth Day tree planting at Helen McCabe State Park - DNR/WDFW Land Exchange input - Member of the new e3 committee promoting environment, education and ecomony in Kittitas County - Participated in the Health of the Yakima River symposium - Recognized by RMEF for our contributions to the successful DNR Central Cascades Land Exchange - "A Sportsman Leaves a Clean Camp" campaign - More in the works! |
