| We worked diligently to secure several popular fishing areas near Ellensburg. When extensive littering nearly forced closure of Mattoon Lake some years ago, members conducted litter patrols. We donated $2,000 to help WDFW purchase Fio Rito Lakes. We installed the fence and parking lot at McCabe Pond (Helen McCabe State Park) and we continue our efforts at the park with litter patrols. The Club sponsored the original Yakima River Clean Up, which is now a community-wide event. We send representatives to F&W Commission meetings to represent anglers of the Kittitas Valley. We're proud of our work to support fishing recreation. |
