| Basic Class Info for Kittitas Attendees There is no minimum age to attend Hunter Ed; however, children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire class. Also, on range day, all students must demonstrate the physical ability to handle a firearm safely, as determined by the instructors. Students must provide the following items for range day: - Factory rifle, shotgun and ammunition. NO reloaded ammunition. Information about quantity and caliber is provided in class. - Eye and hearing protection . - Wear a minimum of 400 inches of hunter orange . - Appropriate clothing for the weather. - Food and drinks - a GREAT attitude! Rifle and shotgun (instructors must inspect and approve personal firearms for use on the range). Instructors have firearms for students without their own. All shooting will be done under the direct supervision of a certified instructor. |
