| Basic Class Info for Kittitas Attendees There is no minimum age to attend Hunter Ed; however, children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire class. Also, on range day, all students must demonstrate the physical ability to handle a firearm safely, as determined by the instructors. Students must provide the following items for range day: - Factory rifle and shot shells. No reloaded ammunition. Information about quantity and caliber is provided in class. - Eye and hearing protection . - Wear a minimum of 400 inches of hunter orange . - Appropriate clothing for the weather. - Food and drinks. - Rifle and shotgun (instructors must approve for use personal firearms). Instructors have firearms for students without their own. All shooting will be done under the direct supervision of a certified instructor. |
